More Reasons Why "Everybody Knows This" Is The Greatest Enemy to Your Online Business

So, last intel I wrote that I was writing a book. I indeed finished it -- it was a fast and dirty guide on finding hot niches in the shortest amount of time possible -- but that isn't what this intel really is about. I learned something even bigger than refining information: I learned to just get it out there.

I wrote everything in as little time as I could, because I wanted to see if I would finish, carry through, and otherwise "click publish". The rewards have been big -- more clients, media presence, and authority on a subject I love and will continue to teach for a very long time.

Unfortunately, I still see marketers getting stuck in analysis paralysis, wondering if "everybody knows this" and if so, should they even bother writing a guide in the first place?

Fine. Everybody knows this, right? Let's play a game then: YES, they do. SO WHAT?!

There are five kajillion guides about personal finance, which all say the same thing: stop spending your money on fast food and lattes and put that money in the bank, and after 5 million years, you'll have enough money to retire. Because everybody loves retirement, y'know.

Does the fact that "everybody knows this" (common sense gone wild) stop David Bach, David Ramsey, Suze Orman, and every other financial planner in America pushing their agendas and information, building credibility and everything else that goes along with creating products and spreading information? Nope!

Look at Reader's Digest - half the stuff in there I know. However, writers are making a fast and steady living just off providing that "everybody knows that stuff" style content.

Glamour, Cosmo, even O flippin' Magazine - common stuff. big money.

So from here on out, "everybody knows this" is no longer allowed to be part of your vocabulary. As a product creator, if a niche tickles your fancy, just go out there and do it. I stayed without the success I wanted for a long time because of this invisible hand of lies and doubt, I don't want that for you. Take a bite out of Nike, and JUST DO IT!!!
